Connells Group becomes first estate agency to be NHQB accredited supplier

Connells Group has been named an ‘accredited supplier’ by the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of new homes and customer service provided by developers.

As the first estate agency to be named an accredited supplier, Connells Group’s new homes agencies – including Connells, Countrywide, Hamptons and Sequence – will adhere to the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) to ensure full transparency and provide more clarity for purchasers of new homes during the reservation process.

As part of its accreditation, Connells Group will deliver New Homes Quality Code training to all of its new homes specialists, as well as all relevant branch staff.

Roger Barrett, Connells Group land and new homes managing director, commented: “This is a move that makes perfect sense to continue providing outstanding service within the new homes industry. It is not just a commitment to delivering the gold standard in customer service to our new home buyers, but it also helps us to continue exceeding the needs of our clients. With our understanding of the New Homes Quality Code, we can collaborate with developers who are already signed up to the NHQC, provide sound guidance to ensure their service meets the standards, and support housebuilders who wish to work towards NHQB registration.

“Delivering top quality new homes is a vital factor in addressing the housing shortage we’re currently facing. We’re therefore thrilled to have this accreditation, which demonstrates our commitment to putting our customers’ needs at the forefront of everything we do.”

Emma Toms, chief executive at the New Homes Quality Board, said: “We are pleased to welcome Connells Group as an Accredited Supplier with the New Homes Quality Board. Having the largest estate agency group in the UK make this commitment underscores how important the mission of the NHQB is to improve standards and consumer protection for new home buyers.”
