In view of his spate of ‘calls for evidence’ hurled at the industry, Communities Secretary Sajid Javid has expressed a surprising ambition – to become an estate agent.
We hasten to say that this was said in the spirit of irony (although in these uncertain times, who can be sure?) rather than that of someone making a job application.
Speaking at the annual Black British Awards last week, Javid – who has overall control of the housing brief – said: “Good afternoon everyone, and thank you to the Black British Business Awards team for inviting me to join you all here today.
“It’s a real honour to be here.
“And it’s a pleasure to be back in the City. I spent many happy years working in finance, including just up the road at Deutsche Bank.
“It’s fair to say that bankers aren’t the most-loved people in Britain.
“When I left banking to become a politician I got the feeling I was the only new MP who was moving into a more popular profession.
“I might go for the hat-trick next, and become an estate agent!”
A hopeless government, full of no-hopers, offering no-hope for Great Britain and succeeding daily in dismantling the Great from Great Britain
Estate Agents may well have a less than favourable reputation however politicians, particularly this band of wandering no-hopers have clearly surpassed our unfavourable image
They shine as beacons of abject failure, time after time failing to take a once Great Country through difficult times
At least our profession generally works hard at what we do, these politicians are simply not worthy of the wages which we pay them. I would make almost every one of them refundant because they have individually and collectively failed to deliver for Great Britain
Who knows who should be in charge however I am currently paying for clowns to perform the serious task of leading our country. It’s not funny anymore and I for one am not laughing at witnessing this shameful charade of how not to govern

Not sure about that I think politicians are even more hated than estate agents and I feel since the crash that bankers are already closer to the top of the most hated
