Savills announces new Private Office heads
Savills has announced that Jonathan Hewlett will take on the role of chairman of the Savills Private Office, the brainchild of the late David Forbes.
Hewlett will be supported in the UK by Alex Christian and Crispin Holborow as they become joint heads of The Private Office and responsible for its day-to-day management.
The first such offering in the real estate industry, Savills Private Office offers a single, discreet window into the full breadth and depth of the Savills network globally for HNW individuals and their private offices and advisers. It is now established as a significant introducer of new business opportunities and facilitator of client relationships.
“I am delighted that Jonathan has agreed to take on this important role. His long career with Savills has seen him advise on some of the UK’s highest value sales, gaining a reputation for absolute discretion in everything he does, with an address book that is the envy of our competitors both in the UK and internationally,” comments Justin Marking, Head of Global Residential at Savills.
“Like Jonathan, both Alex and Crispin have proven track records at the very top of their game, with unrivalled market knowledge and contacts across the world’s HNW community. Under their combined leadership, we look forward to The Private Office becoming an ever more valued resource for the global high net worth community which is increasingly invested across all aspects of global real estate.”
The Savills Private Office is continuing to expand its global network of advisers to offer an ever-broader range of in-depth sector and geographical expertise and relationships. Further details will be released during the Autumn.

Law firm Lawrence Stephens has announced a senior role with the position of head of residential real estate taken up by Goli-Michelle Banan.
Banan joins the firm from Child & Child, where she headed up the real estate department, having been part of the residential real estate team since 2016.
She brings with her more than 10 years’ experience in the prime London residential property market, and specialises in the acquisition of residential property, as well as commercial and mixed-use land for residential development, and the financing or refinancing of individual properties and property portfolios.

He worked in a senior position in the real estate team at Child & Child and has extensive experience in working in the prime central London property market and advises on all types of residential property transactions.
The appointments follow a sustained period of growth at Lawrence Stephens and a wave of senior hires across the firm in 2022. Banan and Roskin will join the broad team of real estate directors and solicitors at Lawrence Stephens as the department continues to grow.
Steven Bernstein, senior director at Lawrence Stephens, commented: “Following a sustained period of growth, our departments are expanding at pace and we’re looking forward to seeing the continued success of the residential real estate team. Today’s markets warrant the utmost expert legal advice to help our clients navigate the changing property landscape, and we are confidently building an excellent team for this purpose”.
Banan commented: “I look forward to driving the business firmly forward and contributing towards the firm’s growth whilst focusing on what I love doing most and that is, quite simply, property deals!”
