Former John D Wood head of sales joins Moveli

George Henty-Dodd

Former John D Wood & Co head of sales George Henty-Dodd has joined Moveli as a broker covering Fulham and surrounding areas.

Henty-Dodd joins the self-employed agent network after almost a decade working across residential sales and lettings in London.

He was most recently head of sales at John D Wood & Co in Parsons Green, where he focused on the Fulham and wider SW6 property market.

His previous agency experience also includes roles at Foxtons and Chestertons.

Henty-Dodd will now operate under the Moveli brand across Fulham, adding to the network’s existing coverage in West London.

Moveli operates a broker model rather than a traditional branch network, with individual agents working under their own names while using the company’s technology, marketing and support services.

The business now has more than 100 agents operating across London and other parts of the UK.

The appointment comes as the self-employed and broker agency model continues to attract experienced agents from traditional branch-based businesses.

Moveli co-founder Ben Littlewood said: “George is exactly the kind of agent we want at Moveli. He knows Fulham extremely well and has built his career with some of London’s strongest agency brands. He’s a great addition to our growing London network.”

HTB hires new lending director for the south

Dan Fyffe

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Dan Fyffe as lending director within its development finance team, covering the South.

Fyffe joins from Mizrahi Tefahot Bank and brings more than 20 years of banking experience, including 17 years in property and development finance.

At Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, he worked as a relationship manager. His role included managing a portfolio of property clients and originating and structuring new lending.

Before that, Fyffe spent nine years at Shawbrook Bank, where he progressed from assistant relationship manager to relationship director within its development finance team.

He joined Shawbrook when it was establishing its development finance operation. During his time there, he sourced, structured and completed transactions ranging from £1m to £35m.

At HTB, Fyffe will work with brokers and SME property developers across the South.

Fyffe said: “What attracted me to HTB was that it is an established bank but still has a practical and flexible approach to development finance.

“I’ve worked in this market for a long time and conditions never stand still. What matters is listening to brokers and developers, understanding what they are trying to achieve and applying commercial judgement to find a sensible way forward. That approach really resonated with me.

“HTB also has a strong reputation among people I’ve worked with in the market over the years, so joining the team felt like a natural fit. I’m looking forward to getting out into the market and working with brokers and developers across the South.”

He will report to Rob Syrett, head of originations for development finance.

Syrett added: “Developers are scrutinising schemes more closely and being increasingly selective about where they commit their capital. In that environment, experience and judgement from a lender really matter. You need people who can understand a scheme properly at the outset, but who also recognise that costs, timings and circumstances can change as it moves through delivery.

“Dan has worked across that whole journey. He understands the importance of structuring a deal properly, staying close to the developer and knowing the detail so that, when something does change, you can have the right conversations early and make good decisions.

“We’re growing quickly, but we’re doing it deliberately. The focus is on adding experienced people who understand developers, understand the market and can make good lending decisions. Dan gives us more depth in the South and is another important part of the team we’re building across Development Finance.”
