Spicerhaart promotes Mark Alvis to divisional sales director
Spicerhaart has promoted Mark Alvis to divisional sales director for its land and new homes central and east division.
Alvis will be responsible for covering the whole of East Anglia extending his current responsibilities he covered as regional sales director. This role now includes Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk as well as the Home Counties he currently works within. He will now manage a team of eight new homes experts.
Alvis, who has has over 25 years in the industry, said: “I’m going to build on the success we’ve had in these areas and focus on increasing our new homes presence and opportunities in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk whilst continuing to develop and grow the successful Home Counties business. This will involve growing our teams and supporting new employees as well as demonstrating to clients our fantastic proposition.”
He added: “I’m excited to raise our profile, driving excellent customer care, developing our customer support and staff development, using my experience and knowledge to help drive this growth.”

Guild Property figurehead appointed to Agents Giving board
Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, has been appointed to the board of Agents Giving.
As many of you already know, Agents Giving works with Estate and Lettings Agents and their suppliers across the UK to encourage, support and promote their fundraising activities.
McKenzie said: “I am delighted to be appointed as an Agents Giving board member, an organisation that has done so much for agents and their suppliers across the UK. Agents Giving has been a massive support to many charitable causes that have in many ways improved people’s lives.
“As a network, The Guild is very proud of its association with Agents Giving and we are eager to continue our support in the years to come. Last year, The Guild pledged to donate £50 to Agents Giving for every successful referral completed. Building on this, we will continue to look at ways that we can support Agents Giving and the amazing work it does for the sector.”

Martin Leggett joins Henry Adams Simply New Homes
Henry Adams Simply News Homes has appointed Martin Leggett as head of their new homes sales operation.
Leggett joins from his former role at Barratt David Wilson Southern Counties where he was head of sales and marketing for the past 10 years. Previously, he had spent 13 years at Barratt before working as a sales director for a leading developer in Manchester and re-joining Barratt David Wilson in 2012.
Leggett will be based at the agency’s offices in central Chichester from where he will be responsible for new homes sales across West Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire.
The new homes operation is led by Susan Wadsworth, an equity partner in the Henry Adams group. She will continue to oversee the strategic growth of the department.
Leggett said, “When I first heard about the opportunity to join Henry Adams, I was keen to know more having worked with them on a number of projects in my previous role. Henry Adams is a very professional brand that has built an excellent reputation over the years. When I first met the senior leadership team, I was very impressed with the way they operate. The ethos is friendly and welcoming but very focused at the same time.
“I’m looking forward to this new venture where I can bring my experience and skills to support our wide variety of developer clients, ranging from national PLCs to one-off projects. I’ve been made to feel part of Henry Adams already.”
Wadsworth, partner at Henry Adams, added: “Martin is used to working at the fast pace our housebuilder clients and customers have come to expect so I’m sure he’ll hit the ground running. This is a huge opportunity to take the reins at a very successful department and drive it forwards.
