Craig Hamilton joins Cardwells Estate Agents
Cardwells, which covers the markets in Bury and Bolton, has announced the appointment of Craig Hamilton to their senior team.
Along with former business partner Ken Yates, who also works with Cardwells, Hamilton formed and ran Hamiltons of Leigh Estate Agents for over nine years, until the business was sold last year.
He has now taken up the role of area valuer and will focus primarily of the housing market in Bury.

Spicerhaart promotes new homes director
One of Spicerhaart’s directors in the land and new homes division has been promoted and given the opportunity to make one of the company’s key regions more successful.
New homes director Mark Alvis has increased his responsibilities by adding Essex to his operational areas. The county has 22 Spicerhaart branches and partnerships.
Alvis’ remit also includes Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridge, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Suffolk.
The 48-year-old said he was intent on investing more into the new homes operation in Essex which includes Colchester – the city of Spicerhaart’s headquarters – to drive improved results from an already strong business.
“This is an integral area for us,” Alvis said. “With myself as an additional resource and increasing the headcount I will be spearheading further investment into the Essex New Homes business due to the expected sales pipeline we hold for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025/26.”
He added: “We have a passionate team already, and my main priority is ensuring the team are focused, motivated and rewarded along with having the right tools to deliver great results for our house builders.
“I am driven by the success of the team, and I will ensure I continue to develop them and that their ambitions are realised by doing an exceptional job and delivering the results our clients deserve.

Alvis has enjoyed a varied career in the property industry which began at Spicer McColl – one of the first Spicerhaart brands – when he was a teenager.
He rejoined the company in 2019 from Connells, and works closely with Tim Wardley, managing director for land and new homes.
He said: “Mark is one of our high performers and I am sure he will be a big success in Essex.
“There are a lot of opportunities for growth, and I am sure Mark will grasp them with both hands.”
Wildheart Residential Management appoints new property director
Wildheart Residential Management has appointed Chris March as its new property director.
March, a chartered Surveyor with over 30 years of experience working in the sector, will be instrumental in supporting the management of a portfolio of around 5,000 residential units.
He has held a number of senior positions at a variety of well-known managing agents. With experience across both the leasehold and PRS sectors, he has been responsible for the management of substantial national residential portfolios, including some of the tallest residential towers in the UK.
March is also a Fellow of The Property Institute and acts as an appointed manager for the First-Tier Property Tribunal.

My new role as Property Director presents me with an exciting opportunity to play a role in the development of the business.
