Mark Goodeve‑Docker

Mark Goodeve‑Docker has joined Stirling Ackroyd as new homes sales director. He will be based in the firm’s Shoreditch office and cover new homes sales across London.

Goodeve‑Docker has almost 20 years of experience of the London property market, having previously worked as new homes area director at Foxtons, sales director for Berkeley St Edward and head of residential developments at Chestertons.

Stirling Ackroyd was acquired by Leaders Romans Group (LRG) earlier this year and is the group’s second largest acquisition to date with 31 branches across the capital.

Neil Louth CEO of The Acorn Group and who oversees Stirling Ackroyd, land, new homes, and residential sales, said: “Mark’s track record and performance over the last two decades has been outstanding and we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest level of service. LRG is now the largest agency group for New Homes in London which includes Acorn, Langford Russell, John Payne, Portico, Gibbs Gillespie, and Stirling Ackroyd.

Goodeve‑Docker added: “At Stirling Ackroyd I look forward to providing a complete range of services to our Land and New Homes clients which will include planning, financial services, and conveyancing. Ultimately ensuring we deliver the best experience for our developer clients to ensure they achieve the maximum gross development value and best possible rate of sale.

“The group has had a really strong performance over the first half of this year and the appetite from buyers still remains strong. Once the general election has been concluded on 4th July and with the potential interest rate reduction on the horizon, we are expecting that H2 will be positive.”

Former TalkTalk chief joins Purplebricks as new CRO

Nicholas Gunga

Nicholas Gunga has left TalkTalk after 19 years to take up the role of chief revenue officer (CRO) at Purplebricks.

Gunga held several roles at the company, most recently managing director of wholesale services, and was part of the team at TalkTalk that decided to provide free broadband.

Gunga said: “After 19 wonderful years TalkTalk Group I finally left at the end of March. When I joined we had c200k customers and when I left c3.5m – in addition and my most recent role we built the fastest growing wholesaler of connectivity into the B2C and B2B segments and the one that brings alternative supply to our partners and customers.

“Throughout my time at TalkTalk I have met and worked with some of the most amazing people, suppliers and most importantly customers and for that I will always be thankful. What I loved was our heartbeat never changed – we truly believed and still do that broadband is a right not a privilege and should be accessible to all! On Tuesday 11th April 2006 we launched free broadband which democratised the broadband market in Europe forever – a moment 18 years on I’m still super proud of today.

“I’m delighted to announce that… I have joined the team at purplebricks as chief revenue officer and I’m super excited about what we will achieve – we have an amazing proposition with the customer at the heart of everything we do. So its goodbye TalkTalk and hello Purplebricks.”

Goadsby appoints new senior manager

Gary Gibbons

Goadsby has appointed Gary Gibbons as its senior property management surveyor.

Gibbons recently left his position at Surrey-based Curchods, where he had headed its property management team.

But his experience dates back longer than that, with Goadsby’s director of property management Adrian Carter describing him as a “valuable addition to the team”.

The estate agency reports that the department has won numerous instructions over the past year and has seen growth in turnover by 7% over the past nine months.

The company adds that the department is on target to again hit record turnover figures for the end of the year this month.
