Moss Properties appoints new managing director
Moss Properties has appointed Chris Stone as their new managing director.
Stone joins the Doncaster-based firm from his previous role as business director for a property investment consultancy in Leeds. He also has senior and area management experience with two major corporate estate agents.

SmartSearch hires new CEO
SmartSearch, the anti-money laundering specialist, has today announced the appointment of Guy Harrison as CEO.
Harrison, who specialises in scaling fast-growth data, analytics and technology businesses, will drive SmartSearch’s strategic plan to build additional growth and will report to the company’s board of directors.
He joins from Dow Jones where he was general manager of Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, a major provider of regulatory compliance and risk management solutions. Prior to that he was managing director for Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Solutions at IHS Markit.
Before joining IHS Markit, Harrison spent eight years at Goldman Sachs and started his career as a management consultant with Deloitte.
He takes over with immediate effect from SmartSearch’s CEO and founder John Dobson, who launched the business in 2011. He will remain an active part of the company as a non-executive director.
Harrison said: “SmartSearch has already delivered impressive growth, and I’m very much looking forward to working with the team to lead the business towards even greater success. Fraud and money laundering attempts have risen considerably since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic increasing the need for regulated businesses to have effective AML technology. The founder of Newton Fallowell is retiring
Mark Newton, founder of Newton and executive director of the Belvoir Group, is retiring.
The 66-year-old, who will become a non-executive director of the group, founded the Midlands-based agency in 1999.
Dorian Gonsalves, CEO of Belvoir Group, said: “On behalf of the whole board, I would like to thank Mark Newton for his contribution to the strategic growth of the group over the past six years.
“Many of our recent corporate acquisitions have stemmed from Mark’s strong relationships within the sector.
