Stuart Kelly appointed property management area director for Essex at Spicerhaart
Stuart Kelly has been named as the Property Management Area Director for Essex at Spicerhaart.
Before moving into the property industry, Stuart worked as a flight attendant, and believes there are many transferable skills he can bring to his new position.
He said: “Early on, I learnt customer service excellence and believe clear and concise communication is crucial in both professions.
“I also have a keen eye for detail, which translates seamlessly into ensuring properties are well-maintained and meet our high standards for quality.
“Working as part of a flight crew has also emphasised the importance of teamwork. I thrive in collaborative environments, and I’m confident in my ability to work with property management teams to achieve common goals.”
Kelly changed careers in 2020, joining Spicerhaart and has steadily worked his way through the ranks. He said he is delighted to have found a new career where he is thriving.
He continued: “I am proud to be employed by a company that understands the importance of promoting from within when possible,” Stuart said.
“I hope my journey can inspire other property managers in the company to keep focused and to keep that solution mind-set because the company will notice your efforts.
“I am very excited to increase the efficiency and output of the team. We have some fantastic talent in Essex and I am focused on bringing out the best in all of them.
“My aims are to retain the portfolio we have through five star property management and to grow the book exponentially.”

Jon Notely leaves Connells
Industry big hitter Jon Notley has left his position as group commercial director at Connells after 20 months.
Notley joined Connells on a permanent basis last year following a six-month stint as interim project director to oversee the integration of the Countrywide business.
Notely had a wide range of responsibilities, including heading up the group’s conveyancing businesses, managing key commercial relationships, supporting the continued growth and development of the group by identifying and leading acquisition and investment opportunities.
Notely, who has considerable industry experience, also took on significant projects across the group and was a member of the Connells Ltd Board.
From 2005 to 2008 he was sales director at Findaproperty.com before becoming group sales director of The Digital Property Group.
He spent the next six years as chief commercial officer of ZPG (Zoopla) before leaving to found deposit replacement guarantee scheme, Zero Deposit, in 2017.
Notley left Zero Deposit towards the end of 2020.
Kit Myrie promoted to sales and lettings manager at Martin & Co in Battersea
Kit Myrie, assistant sales manager at the Battersea Reach office, will be moving to the new Battersea branch as sales and lettings manager.
The move follows the acquisition of independent agency Lester Smith by Martin & Co franchisee Michael van de Vyver, who already operates three South West London branches.
The Lester Smith office will become Martin & Co Battersea and will be headed up by Myrie.
Martin & Co managing director, Eric Walker, said: “I’m hugely pleased to see Kit promoted from within – his work in Battersea Reach has been outstanding and being given the opportunity to run the new Battersea office is richly deserved.”
