Chestertons strengthens Kensington Branch with new sales director

London estate agency Chestertons has appointed Foxtons’ former South Kensington operations director, Ian Barrett, as sales director for its Kensington branch.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the property industry, Barrett has extensive knowledge of London’s property market with a particularly strong track record in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Further to his role at Foxtons, he opened Marsh & Parsons’ first office in the borough which exceeded its target turnover for the first year by 88%.

Barrett said: “If you have worked in the industry for as long as I have, you will know that Chestertons has an excellent reputation. It’s exciting to now be a part of such a highly-esteemed brand and I look forward to utilising my knowledge and working with the team to further strengthen our presence in Kensington.”

Cheffins appoints Emma Healey as senior heritage planner

Cheffins has appointed Emma Healey as senior heritage planner, as part of the continued expansion of the firm’s planning division.

Healey joins Cheffins from Barton Willmore, now Stantec, where she held the position of senior heritage planner. This role involved working on a variety of heritage projects nationwide, providing advice and writing statements to support a range of planning and listed building consent applications including renewable energy schemes, regeneration projects and detailed listed building work.

At Cheffins, Healey will be focussing on supporting the planning team through providing specialist heritage advice for the firm’s diverse range of clients throughout East Anglia. She is already getting started on projects relating to detailed changes to listed buildings, development in conservation areas and in the setting of heritage assets.

Led by Adam Tuck, the Cheffins Planning Division has gone from strength to strength with involvement in a number of major projects throughout the region. The team works closely with property companies, promotors, landowners, farmers and private individuals and is working on a number of major and minor projects across the region.

Healey commented: “With a growing focus on the climate emergency, our work is increasingly important to demonstrate how sustainable adaption and creative reuse of historic buildings is crucial to preserving our existing buildings for future generations.”

Wyatt Homes appoints new managing director

Poole based Wyatt Homes has appointed Shaun Pettitt as its first ever external managing director, whilst founder, David Wyatt, transitions to chief executive.

Pettitt, 40, from Purbeck, Dorset joined the regional housebuilder last month as it enters into a new phase of growth, marked also by the construction of its own, purpose built office at its prestigious Rivers Edge development in nearby Wimborne Minster.

Pettitt, who has a background in town planning, immediate and strategic land acquisition, said: “This is a key moment for the business as we look to further invest in scaling up our output over the next few years, whilst still maintaining the quality and high standards that the Wyatt brand is known for and that David has worked so hard to cultivate over the years.”
