New independent estate agency in Rochdale
Nest Estates, which covers residential properties in the Rochdale and Heywood areas, has officially opened and is headed up by experienced agent Danielle Magiera.
Magiera, who started working as an estate agent 10 years ago, working her way up to associate partner, has decided that the time is right to set-up her own business.
She said: “I decided earlier this year it was time to do something new and for myself.
“I’ve always been really passionate about the level of service and so I wanted to open an agency where that is the core focus and I could be the main point of contact throughout my client’s journey.
“I’m a local girl, born in Rochdale and as much stick as it gets, I am really passionate about the place.”
Allsop launches residential research department with senior hire
Allsop has appointed Seb Verity to head up its newly launched residential research division.
Verity will help drive Allsop’s growth plans within alternative residential, including the purpose-built student accommodation and build-to-rent sectors, as well as opportunities in the retirement living and healthcare sectors.
He joins Allsop from Chestertons, and spent four years as a director in Savills’ residential research and insight teams.
Prior to that, Verity spent five years at Knight Frank as its head of research consultancy.
Verity said: “We see plenty of potential for growth in the current market and are eager to continue implementing innovative practices across the firm, with the ultimate aim of delivering even better results for our clients and increasing our market share.”
Andrew Boyd, partner and head of residential transactional and living markets at Allsop, commented: “Seb’s appointment is a milestone moment for the agency, adding a vital research function alongside our growing residential business.
“With data playing an increasingly important role in securing the best outcomes for our clients, Seb’s skillset will neatly enhance our existing offering and enable us to grow in new alternative living sectors.
“His in-depth knowledge of the sector and understanding of client requirements and challenges will undoubtedly add value to Allsop’s existing services, as we aim to significantly grow our business in the coming years.”
Last month, Allsop announced 19 promotions across the business, including the appointment of three equity partners and one salaried partner.
Buying agency expands with two senior appointments
Specialist buying agency Recoco Property Search has announced two senior appointments in a bid to expand its service offerings and meet growing buyer demand.
The agency welcomes Mike Henderson to assist clients with plot and site searches whilst Camilla King has joined the team to help clients find properties in East Anglia including Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
King, who obtained RICS qualifications in Bristol and London and worked for a number of regional property businesses, has accumulated extensive knowledge of East Anglia’s property markets which will be highly beneficial to Recoco’s clients.
Henderson has over 35 years’ industry experience and last headed up the residential and commercial agency business of a multi-disciplinary property practice in Exeter. Both spent their professional lives building crucial connections which enable them to identify opportunities that are not always available to others.
Reococo Property Search director, Nigel Bishop, commented: “Even after the heightened buyer demand that many of the home counties experienced during the pandemic, we continue to receive a high level of enquiries from house hunters who are often also open to widening their search radius.
“At the same time, we are encountering buyers who prefer sourcing a plot of land on which they can build their dream home. It was therefore only natural for us to not only extend into East Anglia but to provide our clients with a dedicated consultant who specialises in plot and site searches.”
