Homesearch promotes two members of their team to new senior positions
Homesearch has promoted two of its team members to new senior positions.
The first of the new promotions belongs to Daniel Fuoco, who has been appointed as head of commercial operations eight months after joining the business. The new role will see him leading the commercial team going forward.
Fuoco said: “My main motivation is to make sure that agents operate in a unique way and communicate with their clients effectively so that they can generate fresh instructions in ways they never have before.
“I hope the results achieved by the agents we work with continue to reflect this as they have done during my time at Homesearch so far, and I hope to continue to go the extra mile for our clients to ensure they achieve the best results possible.”
Homesearch has also announced the promotion of Dan Crosier to head of training and support.
Crosier, who has been part of the business for almost two years, will now lead the Agent Success team.
Crosier commented: “I’m grateful for the new role at Homesearch and excited to help empower our Agent Success team to reach their full potential. I hope to execute the best customer journey for all of our existing and new clients and ensure they see as much ROI as possible.”
Gary Cameron is new head of Scotland for BNP Paribas Real Estate, Strutt & Parker and John Clegg & Co
Gary Cameron has been appointed as head of Scotland for property consultancy BNP Paribas Real Estate, its residential and rural arm Strutt & Parker and forestry arm John Clegg & Co.
Combined, these three brands provide advice and support on all matters relating to commercial, residential and rural real estate, with a network of five offices operating across Scotland, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Banchory, Inverness and Perth.
Etienne Prongué, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK, said: “Scotland is a key market for us. We have five offices strategically positioned across the country, and are looking to broaden and grow the support available to our clients, enhancing the wealth of services we have to offer across our commercial, residential and rural businesses.”
Cameron joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2013 and has more than 20 years of experience in the Scottish property market.
He has been promoted to head of Scotland having spent three years as head of the Glasgow office and is senior director, heading up the commercial investment and transactional side of the business.
Cameron commented: “We have an impressive platform in Scotland which I am delighted to be heading up. Despite the continuing challenges, we are looking to build and maximise our coverage across Scotland.
“I am very pleased to say we have exciting news to announce shortly on two new senior hires into the John Clegg team. This follows expansion of our commercial valuation and rating teams and we will be looking to do the same across all sectors and markets where we see growth.”
Middleton Advisors appoints Gemma Maclaran as the lead for key Cotswolds area
Middleton Advisors has appointed Gemma Maclaran as the lead for the key Cotswolds area.
Maclaran, who grew up in the Cotswolds, joined Middleton two years ago, initially working across regions, from the London office.
“I guess I’m mirroring one of the real property trends of 2020 – moving from London, back to the country,” said Maclaran. “While the Cotswolds is very different from the London market, the same principles of trust, independence and diligence underpin all aspects of the business. We’re known primarily for buying and search, but we’ve successfully extended our services to a full ‘family office’ service in the last couple of years.”
“We’ve seen the trend for private, off-market sales increase recently,” she added. “This year, up to 80% of our transactions have been for private sales, and we are assuming that proportion may even go up further still.”
After working at Smithfield, a specialist capital markets and financial services communications and investor relations agency, Maclaran spent seven years at Douglas & Gordon.
Middleton director Tom Hudson commented: “Gemma has proved her worth to Middleton and her understanding of our values and commitment to client service over the past two years, so we’re delighted to entrust one of our key areas to her.”
Homey appoints Mark Coulter to its board of directors
Homey has announced the appointment of Mark Coulter to its board.
Coulter brings to the Edinburgh-based pre-sale home renovation specialist a wealth of knowledge and experience within property and business and in driving significant growth.
He was previously a director at Savills, managing director at Lindsays and the founder of Coulter’s. He now runs Ellison’s, a boutique property consultancy.
Coulter commented: “I am honoured to be joining Homey at such an exciting time as they scale across the UK. Homey provides a huge gap in the market for current owners looking to maximise the profit out of their biggest asset whilst providing a deferred payment option. I see Homey becoming a national brand providing value to homeowners, estate agents and contractors.”
