Winkworth opens new office in Bagshot
Winkworth has expanded its presence on the Surrey/Berkshire border with the opening of a new Bagshot office to capitalise on people looking to move out of London.
The new office will be run by Anthony Blackstone, and will be his second franchise for Winkworth, following on from the opening of the Sunningdale office in 2018.
Winkworth Bagshot is in a prime high street position in the Surrey Heath village, covering Bagshot, Windlesham, Chobham, Lightwater and parts of Camberley, linking to Winkworth Sunningdale, which extends to Virginia Water, Ascot, Windsor and Egham.
Blackstone, who previously worked for Knight Frank and Featherstone Leigh before launching his own business with the Sunningdale franchise, said: “Opening in Bagshot is a natural progression to join up the Winkworth presence in this area.
“We will be covering the mid to prime market, from £400,000 to £6m and beyond. We are seeing lots of buyers moving out of London in search of more space and larger gardens.
“Bagshot offers good value and has excellent schools and good commuter connections. I love the area and believe there are lots of opportunities in this region and have plans for further expansion.”
Mint Bridging makes four new appointments
Mint Bridging, which specialises in short-term property finance, has made four new appointments as the business continues to grow.
Karen Shepherd has joined the Manchester-based property finance firm as its new operations manager to drive operational efficiencies and provide best-in-class service, while Mint has also strengthened its underwriter team with the addition of Laurence Perkins.
Meanwhile, Danielle Comer takes up the role of pre-completions manager, delivering a service to brokers, solicitors and borrowers, and Anthony Gorman is the company’s new business development manager.
Andrew Lazare, founder and managing director of Mint Bridging, said: “Like most businesses, the past year has been a rollercoaster. From Brexit looming over our heads to the height of the current global pandemic, we’ve had to adapt to new ways of working and reflect on how we can continue to grow as a business.
“We’ve managed to take this time to consolidate our learning and plan for the future, setting out a clear roadmap of how we take Mint to the next level. Part of that journey was the appointment of Karen, followed by Laurence, Dani and Anthony, all of whom bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to the business.”
