Rob Brady rejoins Regal Estates in Kent

Rob Brady has returned to the Regal Estates as lettings director, just over a year after leaving the company.

Brady, who previously worked for Regal for almost nine years, will be based in the firm’s Canterbury office.

Brady has spent the past year or so working at Iceberg Digital, a dedicated marketing platform for the property industry.

A spokesperson for Regal said: “As the 2020’s brings new trends, including a new generation to the market, along with the need to better utilise our ‘big data’ and integrate our marketing strategies across social media platforms, we are excited for Rob’s return, and are looking forward to him employing the insights he has learned at Iceberg Digital to develop our business.”

Devon-based agency expands with new coastal branch

Gordon & Rumsby, based in Colyton, East Devon, is opening a new office in the Lyme Regis and Charmouth area.

The company is launching Gordon & Rumsby Coastal, offering coastal properties with a primary focus on Lyme Regis and Charmouth.

Gordon & Rumsby Coastal will be fronted by Charmouth-based Susan Rumsby, who will be rejoining Julie Gordon for this joint venture, after initially working with her when the estate agents launched in 2009.

“We want to offer both buyers and vendors a special service with care, attention and enthusiasm,” the duo said in a statement.

Callwell continues to grow

Callwell now has more than 8,000 users across the country.

The brainchild of industry veterans Bob Scarff and Rob Wellstead, Callwell’s creation of a phone call service immediately after a portal email is received has seen take up increase during and since the lockdown.

National Home Move, whose brands include Your Move and Reeds Rains, is the latest firm to commit to Callwell.

Callwell’s managing director Bob Scarff said: “Not surprisingly, during lockdown the mix between portal phone calls and portal emails shifted closer to 50/50, up from 66/33, so our ability to help our customer agents deal promptly and efficiently with all emails has come into its own.

“Every portal mystery shop that I’ve seen makes it clear that across the country a portal email is twice as likely to go unanswered as a portal phone call, so it’s great to see so many agents doing something about it with Callwell.”
