Savills appoints new head of Hackney office
Daniel Woods has over eight years in the industry having spent the last three and a half years working at Knight Frank where he ran both the flagship South Bank and Tower Bridge offices. He is now appointed as head of Savill’s Hackney branch.
Woods started his career in property at Foxton’s where he worked for four and a half years as a negotiator and then as assistant manager at the London Bridge office.
Before his jump into property, Woods was a professional actor who toured with the Royal Shakespeare Company, spending two years in Italy. There he played the roles of both Duke Frederick and Duke Senior in Shakespeare’s classic play ‘As You Like It’.
Director at Savills, Liza-Jane Kelly said: “We were blown away by Daniel’s experience and enthusiasm for the local area and we are very excited to have him join the team to take our growth to the next level.”
haart appoints Partnership Director
Haart has appointed Simon Elliot as Partnership Director. Elliott has more than 24 years’ experience with the company and has worked his way up through branch, management and regional roles to take the lead for the Middlesex, M1, West and Wales area.
“I have a really clear vision for the role,” explains Simon. “Working alongside our successful branches, I want us to be the most dynamic and successful remote working estate agency model in the UK. I want to create entrepreneurs who can be their own boss but still have the back up and support of employment and colleagues all working together.”
When he’s not working, Elliott, a family man with two daughters, enjoys the music, restaurants and theatres of London with partner Janice. He is a keen cyclist having completed the London to Brighton bike ride for the last eight years raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
Venmores appoints assistant branch manager
Colin Onborg brings an impressive skillset to his new role as Assistant Branch Manager, having a degree in Building Surveying and nine years experience in the industry. He has worked at some prominent Liverpool estate agents including Reeds Rain, Jones & Chapman and Purplebricks, and he joins joins the company after his most recent role as sales manager at Whitegates in Woolton.
Onborg said: “I joined Venmore for the challenge; I have always considered them to be an industry leader and I am delighted to have joined the group in the Allerton office. We have a fantastic team and it’s a pleasure to be a part of a Liverpool institution such as Venmore. I also grew up around the Allerton area so I liked the idea of coming back to work in the area I know best”

Carter Jonas appoints new Head of Residential for Long Melford
Carter Jonas has appointed Tommy Newbigging as Head of Residential at the Long Melford branch.
Newbigging joined Carter Jonas in 2016 in Residential Sales and was was quickly promoted to launch a new lettings department from the firm’s Long Melford branch.
Having always lived in Suffolk, Tommy is passionate about the area and local community and is dedicated to providing a first-rate service to the people living, working and investing in the County. A keen sportsman, he plays football for a home team and enjoys cricket, rugby, and golf.
