The firm which is about to divide itself into two brands – Chesterton Humberts – has been awarded sales agent of the year 2014 in the Resi awards organised by Property Week magazine.
The firm is shortly to split into two businesses, Chesterton and Humberts – the firms that came back from the dead and merged at the bottom of the market.
Richard Davies, head of residential at Chesterton Humberts, said: “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved over the last year.
“New processes have included an out-of-hours call system where customers can talk to a Chesterton Humberts representative 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, enabling them to book viewings and make offers.
“We’ve also invested heavily into our marketing department to ensure our properties are promoted to the widest possible audience.
“This has included a much stronger advertising and PR presence across the country, as well as interactive property adverts where potential buyers can get a true sense of the lifestyle that accompanies the property for sale.”
Letting agent of the year was Countrywide Residential Lettings.
Savills picked up the gong for residential consultancy practice of the year, and Knight Frank was winner of the international sales agency category.
James Riblat of commercial property firm Delancey was named residential personality of the year.
