Chartered residential surveyor launches nationwide franchise model

James Raspin

A North West-based chartered surveyors practice has launched a franchise model for residential surveyors across the country who are ready to run their own business.

Survey Hut has been operating in the North of England for three years and has created the franchise for other surveyors to take that next step in their careers.

The model offers entrepreneurial surveyors a full suite of support from set up, marketing, RICS regulation compliance, ongoing operation and the benefit of a recognised brand in the industry.

James Raspin, founder of Survey Hut said: “After spending many years working for some of the biggest players in the industry, I created my business in order to create a more positive work-life balance, create my own rules and offer my clients the best service I can. In corporate structures this just isn’t possible.

“Taking that step of starting your own business is daunting, which is why our Survey Hut Franchise can support any budding entrepreneur with elements they may not have complete confidence in. RICS compliance to a big one in our industry – it’s essential. Our franchise will offer all of this support and so much more.”

The franchise will work on a postcode system, offering surveyors regional areas available. Pricing for this new franchise model starts at £15,000. Each franchise owner will have access to a wealth of support and elements like digital marketing will be covered by the parent company.

Raspin continued: “We’ve worked very hard to develop a ready-made business model for experienced surveyors – maybe they have a family now and looking for increased flexibility or want to take control of their working life and earn more money – our franchise will offer that change. Working for yourself isn’t always easy, but it has many benefits and we’ll be there to support our franchisees every step of the way. My goal is to grow a nationally recognised, trusted brand. It’s a really exciting time for Survey Hut.”
