Catfest aims for £250,000 target

Julian and Cat

Renowned sales trainer and consultant Julian O’Dell’s fundraiser festival Catfest (named after his wife Cat) which has proved to be a big hit over recent years is all set to happen again at the end of the month. The previous Catfest events have raised over £230,000 for Action Against Cancer and the aim is to smash through the £250,000 mark this time.

Julian says: “This year I thought long and hard about running Catfest again but since my wife Cat passed away in 2022, I have had so much support about our festival that I went ahead to keep her memory alive. I know it is what Cat would have wanted – she was an Ambassador for Action Against Cancer as I am and we both fully recognise how important funding their work is.”

Action Against Cancer are a small charity with low overheads who undertake brilliant research work in establishing new treatments for the disease and all relevant information can be found at www.aacancer.org

As Cat herself explained when addressing the Catfest crowd in 2017: “As cancer patients, we all need hope. Research for cures or better treatment gives us that hope. We are therefore proud to support Action Against Cancer.”

Catfest 2024 will include over ten hours of exceptional music, wonderful food and copious drink. It is a unique festival as everything is included in the ticket price!

There will be a few surprises too, as Julian aims to make it the best ever Catfest both in terms of the total raised but also the memories made.

The event has been supported by some amazing property industry folk including Rightmove, Drivers & Norris, Rush Witt & Wilson and Julian’s own training business Marvellous Training Solutions.

Some fascinating auction lots are up for grabs including guitars signed by The Who and John Lydon, plus a pair of Bruno Fernandes autographed football boots and a David Silva signed Manchester City shirt. Another stellar auction item is a set of limited edition of four art prints by legendary artist Sir Peter Blake which he donated himself. A selection of Julian’s original art is also available to bid on – some of his drawings are signed by the subjects themselves.

If you can support the event in any way via sponsorship, by providing auction lots, by donating raffle prizes, or bidding on an auction lot, please contact Julian on 07718 634235 or email julianodell@live.co.uk
