Business as usual for Relocation Agent Network as sale of its US owner goes through

The Relocation Agent Network says it is ‘business as usual’ as the sale of its American owner, Cartus Relocation, goes through.

The $400m sale of Realogy’s Cartus Relocation business to SIRVA, a global relocation company, is due to complete in the first half of this year.

The agreement is to acquire the relocation assets of Cartus but has been reported as not including Cartus’s affinity or broker services businesses, including those made up of agents which deliver home selling and buying services.

We asked about possible implications for RAN in the UK, and were told that RAN is part of the deal.

Managing director Richard Tucker told us: “The planned sale of the Cartus Relocation business to SIRVA Worldwide is well under way, with the sale expected to close during the first half of 2020.

“RAN is part of Cartus Relocation UK and is included in the sale. Everything is very much business as usual.”
