Yesterday in EYE, we carried a story about an informal resolution by the Advertising Standards Authority, over an email newsletter that suggested letting agents should fire their property managers.

We confirm that Ash Residential in Manchester was not involved in any way with this case, and that the firm has never had dealings with either ARPM or the Advertising Standards Authority.

The newsletter was produced for lettings outsourcing firm ARPM.

We were informed by the ASA that the leaflet had been produced by “Ash Residential Property for ARPM”.

Our story, which we corrected as soon as we were alerted, mistakenly named the Manchester firm of Ash Residential Ltd and we apologise for the misinformation and any harm caused, etc.
