The Propertymark Trust has announced that applications for its scholarships, launched just over a month ago with a view to supporting agents who cannot afford the financial cost of obtaining qualifications, has now closed.
With applications for the 2025 scholarship intake oversubscribed, applicants who took part in an interview are now waiting to be notified as to whether they have been successful.
A strictly limited number of scholarships for between 25% and 100% of the costs of learning materials, Propertymark membership and examination fees were made available and potential scholars invited to apply for funding by completing a straightforward application form which included a requirement to state why they want to obtain the Level 3 qualification in either sales, lettings or property management.
Chair of the Education and Applications Group at the Propertymark Trust, Michael Day, said: “As expected this has proven to be a fantastic initiative that will now provide a number of individuals with a route into qualifications that, in turn, will help underpin their future careers. We received a very healthy number of applications for scholarships and the Trustees have now selected those who were successful as part of the initial 2025 intake.
“Scholarships of up to 100% were available although many applicants are offering to contribute some of the costs themselves or via their employers with matched funding being provided by the Trust.
“Subject to final agreement by all Trustees, it is planned to launch another scholarship intake in the Autumn of 2025.
“Since our inception, one of the core objectives of the Propertymark Trust is the promotion of and support for those seeking to obtain Propertymark qualifications and educational grants for those unable to meet the financial cost of obtaining qualifications have always been at the heart of The Trust’s activities and remain available.”
