Alexander & Co has continued to expand by snapping up Macintyers estate agency in Brackley, South Northamptonshire, just a few weeks after completing the purchase of Apple Homes in Buckingham.
Macintyers, headed up by former owner, Ben Macintyre, will now form part of a larger company consisting of over 120 staff members.
Extending its coverage from Bedfordshire across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and now into Northamptonshire, Alexander & Co is aiming to increase market share.
The acquisition comes hot on the heels of the purchase in January of Apple Homes in Buckingham.
Led by existing manager, Peter Hatfield-Shaw, the lettings side of Apple Homes has already rebranded to Alexander & Co and the sales side being transformed over the next couple of months.
Alexander & Co CEO George Thomas said: “It’s been a tough 12 months for many businesses as they’ve faced the uncertainties that the pandemic has presented, which is why we are particularly proud of the growth that Alexander & Co has achieved during this difficult time.
“As a group we now have 120 staff managing over 2,500 properties across the region. We have a busy and exciting year ahead of us and relish the opportunities that this expansion brings.”
The addition of these two new businesses to the Alexander & Co family, means there are now 11 offices in the group when combined with the Cheltenham based Peter Ball & Co brand the company welcomed to the fold in 2020.
