AgentsHereToHelp gets set to launch

The informal online grouping of agents and suppliers #AgentsHereToHelp started by Kristian Byfield (of The Depositary) is growing towards 100 members and has just put out a video explaining their aims.

Byfield told EYE:

“It started as an idea, driven by the current crisis, looking to answer people’s questions and assuage their fears.

“The hope was to attempt this whilst helping to unite our industry and (hopefully) work towards improving our public perception (one can dream)!

“What is becoming very clear, however, is that this could be so much more than that.

“This could, if we get it right, create a bona fide, agent-run media channel aimed directly at the public.

“By making a tiny commitment individually, together we could start a movement, one that can last way beyond the current crisis.

“What’s exciting is the variety. We have high street, hybrid, franchise, online and everything in between- all led by passionate, driven people.

“We’ve got nationwide coverage (admittedly helped by some online operations) but a huge spread of local expertise from Devon to Flintshire and Yorkshire to Kent.”

The launch of the public-facing initiative is likely to take place next Monday.
