Keller Williams agents have put their negotiating skills to the test by securing leads for a food donations platform as part of the global franchise’s charity event.
Keller Williams agents across the world devote one day of service to charitable or communal causes each year, known as RED Day, which stands for “renew, energise and donate.”
Four teams representing the prime and London Bridge hubs of Keller Williams UK spent the day on May 9 ringing distributors, restaurants and manufacturers to generate almost 100 leads for food donation charity Plan Zheroes (PZ) to pass on to to good causes.
Ben Taylor, chief executive of Keller Williams UK, said: “You may say that this was an extension of our core skill and we were delighted to help a charity like PZ that has limited resources.”
Laura Hopper, chief executive of PZ, added: “It was fantastic having 24 people from Keller Williams in London generating leads for us.
“We are a small charity and it would take our team weeks to generate these leads. We are following them up now.
“The Keller Williams UK team contacted businesses in areas we are planning to expand to, such as Glasgow and Northampton.
“It was fantastic seeing the teams compete against each other – Apprentice style – to get food businesses to sign up to our offering. It has really given us a boost and made a difference.”
