Agents urged to sign up for Great British Property Cycle

Agents are being urged to sign up for the Great British Property Cycle which will take place in September.

The annual event, run by the industry’s charity Agents Giving, raised £30,000 in 2013 through agents getting on their bikes with colleagues, friends and family and utilising their pedal power.

The agents collectively rode a distance of 7,500 miles.

The cycling can be anything from a static bike in a gym to a weekend leisure excursion – or something a lot more ambitious involving mountain bikes.

Peter Knight, chairman of Agents Giving, said: “Agents who are keen to participate in this event ought to sign up now and – with our help if they want it – start thinking about how they want to pedal their way to pounds for Agents Giving.

“We hope to smash last year’s grand total but need as many agents as possible to sign up.”

This year’s lead sponsor is software company Reapit, whose Simon Whale has been looking mysteriously much fitter and trimmer of late. Perhaps he has discovered his inner Lycra? Indeed, at this rate, he might have to change his name to Minnow.

It’s all in a great cause. Agents Giving supports the excellent homeless charity Broadway, and also tops up agents’ own fund-raising efforts for their pet causes by up to £500.

I saw an article on an estate agents website and it led me to do some 'Googling' which led me here! Definitely interested in this, but I presume it's too late to sign up now? http://www.knightbishop.co.uk/NewsDetails.aspx?ID=1003
