Romans has made further acquisitions of other agents following last year’s management buy-out – and said it is ready to snap up more.
Last September, multi-award winning Romans, based in Berkshire, announced the buy-out backed to the tune of £50m-plus by Bowmark Capital, fuelling speculation that the group will be the next agent to seek a stock market flotation.
Bowmark said at the time that it would provide “significant additional capital” to support the roll-out of new offices and future acquisitions.
The latest purchases by Romans are Jacksons Residential in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, which was concluded in April, and Caroline Clark & Associates in Sunninghill, Berkshire, where the deal was finalised in May.
Managing director Peter Fuller, pictured, said: “We are ready and able to consider any acquisition opportunity and plan to accelerate our rate of growth this year and in the years to come.”
The Romans Group has won many accolades, including estate agent of the year. It had 18 branches at the time of the management buy-out, and now has 21 in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire.
