An estate agent has removed a listing from Rightmove after details of the property went viral. A photo of the tiny flat showed the bed inches away from the kitchen sink.

Reports suggested that the intimate size of the room was ideal for breakfast in bed.

The extremely self-contained ‘studio apartment’ was listed at £170 per week rental in Kember Street, London N1, with agents Relocate Me.

According to a report in the Islington Gazette, which had spoken to an unnamed employee at the agency, the firm had received “threatening” phone calls from the public.

However, according to other reports, the listing appears to have been taken down simply because the property had been snapped up.

Under the headline “This London flat is horrifyingly small and expensive”, the Huffington Post said that the flat had been taken, while Metro said it went within 16 hours of going online.

Eye has put in an inquiry to the agent as to the flat’s availability or otherwise, but has not yet received an answer – possibly because they have been inundated by the world’s press.
