The head of a letting agency in Southampton has launched a national repair portal for self-managing private landlords.

Founded by Tajinder Sohal, managing director of Big Rock Estates, the new platform aims to make it easier for landlords to efficiently manage volumes of property repair requests, maintenance and compliance.
Sohal, who has been a landlord for more than over 30 years, said: “One thing all landlords have in common – whether a full-time landlord with 50-plus properties or a part time landlord with a handful of properties and a full-time day job – is that they have properties requiring repairs.
“The boiler is broken, the fuse board keeps tripping or any number of things that pop into inboxes without any notice. The organisation required and time spent going back and forth between tenants and tradespeople to fix the issue can really add up, especially with multiple properties. I founded Fiixit to help with this headache.”
Fiixit has been designed to be scalable and flexible, so landlords can easily adapt to changing market conditions and individual needs. It will streamline operations and communication, improve their efficiency, raise standards and help landlords attract and retain the very best tenants.
The technology and dashboard used in the distinctive platform enables landlords with portfolios of any size to be transparent and in control at every touch point of the repair, maintenance and compliance process.
Sohal continued: “With Fiixit landlords won’t just be managing repairs, they will be transforming the way they connect with tenants and tradespeople. In one place, from any device landlords can keep on top of all their property repairs with a single action, driving multiple outcomes. Using the Fiixit platform provides a stark comparison to how I used to do it, managing multiple WhatsApp threads, compiling lists and hunting through mails to then transfer the same information to different people.
“Our purpose is to empower landlords with the tools they need to take command of their property maintenance, become more efficient and reduce operational costs. Landlords’ time costs money and we’re dedicated to simplifying how landlords manage repairs, plan their maintenance process and stay compliant.
“Through Fiixit, we envision a future where property maintenance becomes a seamless and collaborative experience, enabling landlords, tradespeople and tenants to navigate their responsibilities with clarity and control.”
Landlords are being invited to be part of the pilot for thenew online platform, with pricing as follows:
Up to ten properties – £2.50 per property/month
Additional properties 11+ (up to 6 bedrooms) – £0.70 per property/month
Additional properties 11+ (7 to 10 bedrooms) – £1.00 per property/month
