Acorn Group pays moving tribute to George Low after senseless murder

The Acorn Group has paid the following tribute to their much-loved colleague George Low, killed at the age of 22. The wording supplied to EYE is unchanged  and both mourns and celebrates a very special young man:

The death of George Low on the last day of his holiday in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, on Sunday, August 14, has been widely reported in the national press.

It is not our place to comment further on the circumstances surrounding George’s murder, save for the fact he was a victim of a brutal and senseless knife attack.

George was an important and highly regarded member of the Acorn family, and with his parents’ permission we would like to share this brief tribute with our friends and colleagues within the industry, which George loved and worked in so successfully.

George joined us at the beginning of 2016, working at our Catford branch as a trainee negotiator, before moving to our newly opened office in Dartford at the beginning of the summer. George’s vibrant personality and excellent communication skills made him a big hit with his colleagues and clients alike.

Very quickly, he became one of our most successful sales negotiators, who undoubtedly had a bright career and exciting life ahead of him.

Ed Hall, George’s manager at Dartford, revered him: “George was one of the nicest, most genuine and fun people you could ever meet.

“He left a lasting impression on everyone he met, however brief the time spent with them.

“I viewed George a friend as much as a colleague, and his loss has left a cavernous hole in the lives of everyone that knew him.”

Acorn Group managing director Neil Louth reiterated the whole company’s condolences to all George’s family and friends.

“At times like this, there are no appropriate words of comfort. However, I hope in the fullness of time, the searing pain we all feel at the loss of George will be replaced by the fond memories of the time we shared with him, his bright smile and infectious personality.”

I hope these words are of some comfort – however small – to his family and friends.

Always so sad when a life is taken, especially one so young. As a parent, my thoughts go out to his family.
