Following the recent announcement of a further extension on bailiff enforced evictions, John Paul, CEO at the Castledene Group and a Propertymark board member, will be delivering a webinar this morning, with a view to offering full of advice for letting agents managing issues arising from tenants who are struggling to keep on top of rental payments.

In a recent poll, 76% of participating Propertymark members reported that they have witnessed an increase in the number of tenants with rent arrears over the last 12 months, and as agents know, the current challenges around regaining possession are complex.

While most people agree that there should be support available to tenants to keep those with Covid-related arrears in their homes, agents have grappled to support landlords through late announcements, overlapping issues with the courts and balancing their own mortgage payments and finances.
