Myddelton & Major appoints new head of residential sales

Independent estate agents and chartered surveyor Myddelton & Major has appointed Laurie Kavanagh as new head of residential sales at its Salisbury office.

Kavanagh brings 16 years of extensive experience working for local and national firms, selling city centre houses, flats, village properties and new developments.

Suzanne Aplin joins Weston Homes as group sales and marketing director

Housebuilder Weston Homes has appointment of Suzanne Aplin as group sales and marketing director, to help drive the promotion and sales of the firm’s existing and pipeline schemes in London and the Home Counties.

Aplin joins Weston Homes from City & Country where she worked for the past five years as sales and marketing director. She previously worked at Marks & Spencer, Countryside Properties and Skanska Residential Development.

Bob Weston, chairman and manging director at Weston Homes, commented: “Suzanne’s background in retail marketing and her past expertise in both conversion and new build homes provides a perfect skill-set match for Weston Homes.

Aplin will manage the sales and marketing of the group’s sizeable development portfolio which includes 20 current active sites and over 7,500 plots in the pipeline including  the launch in Spring 2021 of the £350m Abbey Quays urban village in Barking and the £60m million Grade II listed Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot.

Jill Andrew is now a director at Simpson & Marwick

Property lawyer Jill Andrew has been appointed as a director by Simpson & Marwick, a Scottish law firm specialising in residential property sales, conveyancing and estate agency.

Andrew has switched from top law firm Shoosmiths to take up a prime position at the Edinburgh and East Lothian based company which is adding to its property team due to growth in its residential portfolio.

Andrew is at the forefront of residential property policy and procedure. She sits on the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum committee, and has represented high net-worth individuals, residential and commercial property clients and property developers.
