Lee Baron appoints Cathy Emmott as operations director
Lee Baron has appointed Cathy Emmott as operations director within its property management division.
The former Landsec director will take up her role with the specialist property managers on Monday 4th January 2021 and will oversee operations across the entire Lee Baron-managed portfolio.
She will also be responsible for the management of the firm’s ongoing improvement programme in all aspects of working practices and operational processes across surveying, facilities management and property management accounts, including the various systems and applications that the firm uses. Emmott will also play a leading role in the firm’s business development activities.

Emmott spent two years at Landsec as operations director where she managed the West End portfolio of the FTSE 100 property company, including office, retail, leisure and residential. Prior to this, she was a senior director at GVA Avison Young, where she held a senior asset management role responsible for the Berkeley Square Estate and associated portfolios for its overseas owners, and a variety of other clients.

New valuer joins Alasdair Morrison & Partners
Alasdair Morrison & Partners has appointed Ryan MacLachlan to its team of valuers.
MacLachlan joins the independent estate agents in the East Midlands with seven years experience working in the property industry.
“I find being an estate agent a very humbling experience,” he said. “People are entrusting you with selling their greatest financial asset, which is a huge responsibility but a challenge that I enjoy.”
Over the years, MacLachlan’s property experience has covered Newark and the surrounding villages, plus Grantham and Sleaford.
The firm’s owner Alasdair Morrison said: “We were very impressed by Ryan’s enthusiasm and work ethic.
“He takes a lot of pride in his job and wants to do his utmost to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients, be those first-time buyers or experienced property owners.

Nadeem Khan joins Savills In Glasgow
Savills has bolstered its engineering and design consultancy team with the appointment of Nadeem Khan in Glasgow who joins as a director in the company’s property management division.
Khan specialises in providing engineering consultancy services within the real estate market, and has advised on a number of high-profile transactions across Scotland.
Having started his career as a design engineer, he has 13 years’ experience in the property industry, working in both private practice and the public sector. He joins from FHP Engineering Services Solutions.
At Savills Khan’s role will see him provide clients with the full range of engineering services, specialising in due diligence, dilapidations, planned maintenance, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) design projects and sustainability, both in Scotland and across the wider UK market.
His previous experience as a low carbon consultant allows Khan to offer guidance on improving energy efficiency within buildings, including net zero Carbon feasibility studies
He said: “I am delighted to join Savills and am looking forward to establishing the firm’s engineering design and consultancy team in Scotland, collaborating with colleagues across Savills to provide clients with a full range of professional services.”
