The Way they were…

The Dave Clark EYE remembers was the lead singer and drummer in the Dave Clark Five – responsible, in 1964, for knocking the Beatles off the No 1 spot in the Top Ten, with their smash hit ‘Glad All Over’.

Five years before that, this David Clark was larking around on the beach, with a full head of curly hair and not a care in the world.

Fast-forward to 1973 and David was definitely cultivating the pop star look as the hair grew, and grew…

And here he is now, the head of David Clark and Company in Ely, Cambridgeshire. As he says:

” OMG that is frightening! The havoc estate agency plays with your appearance. Began in 1980 at age 21 and still at it age 62. Only thing I’m happy about is I still have hair!”

Let us see  your ‘then and now’ pictures. The only criteria is that the old photo was taken before the year 2000.

Send it to news@propertyindustryeye.com along with a shot of how you look today, your name, and the company you now work in.

Hi Dave, I was a great fan of your band back in the day. Great to see you looking so well. Are you as good at selling houses as you were singing??

I’m better at selling houses, the singing and guitar playing were never my strongest attributes, but I really am ‘Glad All Over’ to have made it to 2020 with a sense of humour intact!
