‘We know what a home is really worth’ – Zoopla’s new TV ad revealed

Another day, another TV campaign…and as we know so well, reactions will be in the ‘love it, loathe it’ Marmite vein.

Coming hot on the heels of OnTheMarket and Rightmove, tomorrow  Zoopla will premiere a  new TV advert to kick off its latest marketing campaign.

The advert, titled ‘Billy’, aims to engage consumers and drive traffic to Zoopla, in turn increasing leads to agents.

Running for nine weeks across primetime television slots on ITV, Sky and Channel 4, alongside Out of Home, Display Social, Audio, Print and Search, VoD and YouTube, the TV advert features Zoopla’s brand positioning, ‘We know what a home is really worth’, which was premiered last year and highlights how Zoopla understands that finding a home is not just a transactional journey, but an emotional one.

The 30-second TV slot begins with a soundtrack of loud hip hop, as an extremely happy boy dances around his bedroom and jumps joyously up and down on a bed, feeling like “an absolute G”. [EYE has absolutely no idea what that means.]

The viewer learns that this is Billy, and that Billy is particularly happy because by finding their home on Zoopla, his parents were able to buy one with an extra bedroom – meaning he no longer needs to share with his little brother, Dylan.

Zoopla says the advert highlights the joy and sense of freedom that comes with a bigger home and features a voiceover from Diane Morgan (star of After Life and Motherland).

The Billy advert will run concurrently alongside the tongue-in-cheek Tia and Jake advert, which first aired on Boxing Day 2019, and depicts a young couple setting up a love nest and enjoying the benefits of moving into their own place for the first time.

“We look forward to hearing what our agent partners think of the advert,” says the portal’s head of consumer marketing, Rich Houston.

Strange, because I’ve had to move to rightmove for this data.
Zoopla used to give a specific price which wasn’t always great but worked.

Now you get a ‘ between ‘ figure £175,000 to£225,000. Yeah, really useful. Thx
