Launch of 2020 Home Moving Trends, and Landlord & Tenant Surveys

Now in their 14th year, Property Academy’s Home Moving Trends and Landlord & Tenant Survey constitutes the biggest piece of research of its kind, gathering from the public their current opinions and experiences of buying, selling, letting and renting.

The surveys produce key insights for estate and lettings agency professionals across the board, and last year delivered over 14,000 responses, making the results truly industry-wide.

The research itself is about the choices that vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants make when it comes to agents. How did they find you? Why did they choose you? What was it like to be moved by you? And what effect, if any, has Covid-19 and the stamp duty holiday had on mover motivation?

The surveys, run by the Property Academy, are open from 20th July until 2nd August.

Agents can take part by emailing clients with the relevant link and information – to participate, simply register here and you will be provided with suggested email copy explaining your involvement, including the link/s unique to your agency.

All agents generating responses will receive a copy of the overall reports; agents generating more than 40 responses will receive a copy of their own findings; and those generating more than 100 responses will receive their own findings compared with the national reports.

As in previous years the initial findings will be announced at the EA Masters, which is being held on 8th October.

We at Thomas Morris Sales & Lettings have participated in the Home Moving Trends survey for many years – and received significant benefits from it.

It’s really helped us understand our customers, their aspirations and experiences. Some of the feedback is really quite surprising and can be used to improve customer experience and identify shortcomings.

I would strongly recommend that all agents take the time and trouble to participate in this excellent initiative – you really won’t regret it!
