Well-known industry figure, Ed Mead, was as good as his word last week when he took the brave/foolhardy step of allowing his stepson, Ed Elston, to deliver a No2 haircut – in aid of raising money for NHS Charities Together.
Aimed at raising £500, by Sunday the total on the JustGiving page was well over £1700.
Ed’s wife, Jamie Jago (who heads up PR for Savills) was clearly enjoying her husband’s mild terror as the shears came into view.
She tweeted: “It’s never good when all you can hear is the barber laughing so much he can’t continue…”
However, with the deed done she began to think of the positives.
“All for a good cause…and just think of the money we can save on shampoo, combs, curlers, and ribbons over the next few months.”
We salute Ed’s effort – and if you would like to add your donation to a very deserving charity, click here.
p.s. That’s not an earring Ed’s wearing. It’s the doorknob.
Awe not an earring? I thought it had been added to enhance the bad boy look. Well done Ed.
