Agents are this morning warned that an email being sent round, apparently from Zoopla, is a fake.
The email looks authentic as it asks agents to say whether or not they would like Zoopla’s free membership, which the portal is genuinely offering during the coronavirus crisis.
Agents are asked to press one of two links in the email, apparently from “Sam of Zoopla Member Support”. Agents should in no circumstances press either of these options.
The email says: “We’re here for you. We’re committed to making sure you get the most out of your Zoopla membership and look forward to supporting you in the months and years to come.”
Zoopla emphasised this morning that its systems have not been hacked. However, it has warned agents about the fake email.
A spokesperson said: “We’re aware that online fraudsters are targeting portal users with phishing emails in an effort to get them to share login details.
“The security of our agent partners is a key priority for us and regularly share with them advice on how to keep their businesses secure. If any agent does have concerns they can contact their account manager who will be happy to help them.”
