Leaders has added five new branches to its network, bringing its branch total up to 90.

The firm started with just one branch in Brighton in 1983.

Yesterday, it announced the acquisition of Waterside Properties (UK) and Waterside Properties (Poole), giving it branches in Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne; Brighton Marina; Gunwharf Quays and Port Solent in Portsmouth; and Ocean Village in Southampton.

Also included are Waterside Properties in Hythe and Poole, both of which will be incorporated into existing Leaders branches.

Leaders business development director Richard Churchill said: “We are delighted to have acquired Waterside Properties which has built an excellent reputation over the 25 years it has been established.

“It is the leading letting and sales agent within the niche market of waterside homes and its focus on a quality service and properties fits perfectly with our own approach.”

The majority of Waterside Properties staff have now joined Leaders whilst the vendors will continue to operate their national franchise and boat brokerage businesses.

Last year, Leaders secured a £30m financing facility to support its continuing buy-and-build strategy.
