Keller Williams formally opens new market centre in Essex with 20 agents signed up

The new Keller Williams market centre backed by the founders of three online agencies has formally opened after attracting 20 agents.

There are ambitions to grow Keller Williams Plus, in Essex, to over 100 agents.

The business is operated day-to-day by brother and sister Mark and Claire Readings, formerly of House Network, and by Russell Quirk, formerly of Emoov, and his cousin Anthony Quirk, who also ran an online agency, HomeSeller. None of the businesses is still going, with House Network in administration and Emoov having been bought out of administration.

The Mayor of Brentwood Keith Parker and also local MP Dr Alex Burghart were among attendees at the launch last Thursday night.

Mark Readings, operating principal of the new market centre, said that the 20 new self-employed partners were already listing and selling properties.

He said: “This business is about its people and the Keller Williams family, and helping them to be the best agents they can possibly be.

“Consequently they provide exceptional service to their clients because they are highly financially motivated.

“Keller Williams is as much a training organisation as a real estate company and this focus is already adding a significant edge to the performance of our agents in terms of prospecting, fee justification and overall conversion.

“I could not be more delighted with the fast and productive start that we have had to launching this business.”

Burghart, who is also Parliamentary Private Secretary to Boris Johnson, said that he looked forward to Keller Williams in Essex helping buyers find homes “given how important the sanctity of home ownership is”.

Only winner in that picture is the MP on £80K a year and still time to be mayor.

It is a little confusing, they are not the same person

The Mayor is Brentwood Cllr Keith Parker

The MP is MP Dr Alex Burghart

It is written a little ambiguous though

Ignoring the motorcyclist that appears to have snuck in behind them…they seem a well prepared group, who have obviously done their research on KW, as they’re all staying very close the emergency exit…

“Exceptional service” doesn’t come as a result of agents being “highly financially motivated.”  It comes as a result of values and beliefs.

That pretty much sums up KW, in a nutshell. Show me the money, honey.

Their ‘training’ can be summarised as systems that encourage more cold-calls, more door-knocking, more interruption. The uninvited guest at the party syndrome.

And, as with the three previous online ventures, they seem to be trying to run before they can walk.

This very important information should make its way to page 17 of the local gazette. What’s the saying? A man and his money……  You would have thought that people would have leant by now.
This does appear to be all about “us” with hardly a mention of the rather important clients. There seem to be a few words missing from this presentation. Maybe there could be some mention of what they are planning to offer to their “clients”.
I cannot spot any of the below: Service – professionalism – value – hard work – innovation – experience (well apart from taking other people’s money to start and run  businesses into the ground) – knowledge – NAEA/ARLA/RICS backing/support – TPO membership………..The list could be endless.
Let’s hope their backers’ pockets are very deep as well!!!

Based on their list of failed businesses the bar for ‘being the best’ won’t be set very high!

The long and the short of it is KW  have the grand  total of 226 properties  for sale nationwide and have been in the UK since 2014

To put that into perspective 99 home have twice that!

Ha! 🙂 I wouldn’t call it massive, as we wouldn’t want it going to anyone’s ‘head’…

This week, KW launches its new ”Spot the helmet competition: How many helmets can you see in the picture?” (answers on the back of a KW marketing leaflet…Well, they’ll only be pulped, so may as well use it for something!)

They won’t be following the Home Owners Alliance on agents fees …. Consequently they provide exceptional service to their clients because they are highly financially motivated
