Independent chain to open up for business in eighth county

Chancellors is to open into an eighth county with the launch of a new office in Wiltshire next month.

The new branch will be in Swindon and will launch with a 0% commission offer for both landlords and vendors.

Swindon is set to expand with 8,000 new homes, and extends Chancellors’ coverage along the M4 where it has existing branches in Reading, Newbury and Thatcham.

The firm, which has 53 branches in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, London, Herefordshire and mid-Wales, said it believes Swindon is currently under-served by agents.

Chancellors managing director Robert Scott-Lee said: “The group is well positioned to bring our services to this new market after a positive 2019. The final quarter saw an increase in new applicant registrations and viewings and encouraging signs of an improvement in the market.”

Good to see that our esteemed Landlady knows which County Swindon lies in… unlike the pub down the road that plonks it firmly in Berkshire
