An agent has been left with thousands of pounds of damage after a car crashed into its window.
But it could have been much worse if the incident had happened just hours earlier
Sarah Green, head of new business for Mundys in Lincoln, told EYE a driver crashed a Toyota Yaris into the branch window after driving the wrong way up a one-way street just before 9pm on Tuesday.
The crash destroyed the window, a touchscreen television and a desk that was by the window.
Luckily all the agency staff had gone home for the night and there were no pedestrians around.
The driver was also unhurt.
Green told EYE: “A young lady who wasn’t familiar with the area went the wrong way down the one-way street we are on and was met with oncoming cars.
“She tried to turn around and panicked so went through the window.
“There are thousands of pounds of damage including the window, TV and a desk.
“It is lucky the incident was at 9pm as if it was nearer 7pm there could have been a staff member sitting at the desk by the window.”
Green said staff helped clear up and the agency opened as normal at 8.30 on Wednesday morning with the window boarded up.
