A momentous day for Agents’ Mutual – its first tweet!

Agents’ Mutual yesterday sent out its first tweet.

It said: “Good morning to all of our member agents #OnTheMarket

Agents’ Mutual – when we last looked – is following just 30 and has 750 followers.

And while we’re talking about tweets, what about this promotion from Humberstones Homes. Talk about a window display, let alone covering the building!

        Ahhh, 'nextchapter' – you return!

Okay – seeing as you are now here and seem to have deserted the last thread you chucked a lit firework into – how's about giving me a response to what I posted yesterday?

Here you are – I'll repeat it so you don't even need to go searching:

"If you all want to see how Estate Agency should be done – Check us out…" So… let me get this straight. Firstly, you direct us to a website with only about 15% of its functionality operational. Secondly, as a company you clearly aim to invoice out LESS than £81k per annum… yet you claim to be "changing Estate Agency" – NOT the kind of "change" that every one of your local competitors will want to join in, I would suspect. Thirdly, you state "We're Brentwood's AWARD WINNING Estate Agent" – yet there seem to be no further references to this claim on the 15% functional part of your website. Exactly WHICH "award" are you referring to your ESTATE AGENCY having "won"? Rather than go on forever, I'll simply ask you to respond to those three easy ones first. I REALLY look forward to your response, as I'm sure others will…

It cannot be helpful to On The Market that Property Industry Eye and others continue to call it Agent's Mutual.

Agents revealing their hand as joining OTM 3 weeks ahead of launch are leaving themselves open to attack from other agents who are not doing so.

"Good news Mr Other Agent's Client – they are taking your property off of an established website with millions of visitors every month and replacing it with one that, as yet, no-one has heard of and has no traffic."

Of course, there is a counter argument from those that are going with OTM but, either way, businesses need a good communication strategy and action plan.

But they themselves are tweeting as Agents Mutual.
As you say, you'd have thought that communications would now be as OTM to help spread the word but that's obviously not in their marketing plan.
With 3 weeks to go, you've got to wonder what IS in their marketing plan!

Ah! I used to get so mad at the NAEA telling me photography lessons qualified for CP.- Turn up the ISO settings, open up the aperture, slow down the shutter speed, use a tripod.
Not the most attractive/ prestigious office to be photographing but at least put some effort in, this is one of the worst photographs I have ever seen used for PR.
