Henry Adams, on the south coast, has appointed Philip Jordan as chief executive.

Jordan has been a partner at the firm since 2003 when his own firm, Burford Jordan, merged with it.

He is from a long line of estate agents, his family having founded Jordan & Cook in the 1880s.

Richard Williscroft is group chairman at the agency which has offices across West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.

As well as sales and lettings, Henry Adams has specialist departments including surveying, fine art auctions, rural, land and new homes, and commercial.
