Equity firm Tosca now the majority owner of parent company of Guild and Fine & Country

Equity firm Tosca has become the majority shareholder in Eprop Services, the parent company of the Guild of Property Professionals, and Fine & Country.

Until recently, Eprop was also the parent company of easyProperty, which was sold to industry supplier Evolve in July.

Documentation at Companies House shows that Tosca Acquisition Limited has become “a person with significant control” holding a stake of over 50% but less than 75% in the business.

Other shareholders include Marcus Whewell and Jon Cooke.

As EYE previously reported in June, there were some 600 shareholders in the company, which Tosca Acquisition valued at around £17.85m.

Some of these shareholders, who were offered some 50p per share, sold to Tosca.

Other documentation lodged at Companies House appears to suggest that Guild and Fine & Country co-founder Malcolm Lindley has now withdrawn from the Eprop business.

So Tosca are running the show at Fine and Country, maybe its Tosca increasing their share at PB, maybe they will use F&C as a way to the high street. Probably not, but it would be funny.
