Property price information website Nethouseprices has been acquired by OneDome for an undisclosed amount.

Nethouseprices, which was set up in 2004, provides a free service to the public on what properties in England and Wales have sold for.

In addition, it lists estate agency stock free of charge.

OneDome, a new property search platform, also provides free listings for agents.

The combined group says it will service over 5,000 estate agency branches, and have in excess of 400,000 listings between them, creating what it claims will be the fifth largest property platform in terms of direct listings from estate agents.

NetHouseprices and OneDome will share some services but will continue to run independently for the foreseeable future, with the existing teams in place.

Nethouseprices.com will be run by current managing director Catherine Lamond who will report to the group CEO, Babek Ismayil.

The other director of NetHouseprices, John Brassington, will join the advisory board of the group.

Brassington, a chartered surveyor, is also a director of EYE.

Lamond said: “We are delighted to have been acquired by OneDome. This provides us with the secure backing we need to continue to support our agents in an increasingly tough property market.”

Ismayil said: “Home buying is one of the most stressful experiences in a consumer’s life due to a disjointed, long and archaic process.

“Over 30% of property transactions fail, costing UK consumers £2,700 on average.

“We have the technology platform to make the process connected and streamlined, and NHP provides us with an excellent platform to grow from.”

OneDome was founded in 2016 by former banker Ismayil. It raised over £9m before launching its platform.
