Proptech firm Goodlord has appointed Peter Knight to its board as an independent non-executive director.
Knight is the founder of Property Academy as well as Estate Agency Events, which produce the EA Masters and the Best Estate Agent Guide.
He was previously group managing director of Jackson Property Services, before taking up the role of managing director of the London and south-east division following its acquisition by Halifax.
Knight said: “I’ve long been a fan of Goodlord.
“Unlike other players in the proptech space, it is building something that is solving real challenges faced by letting agents. I’m therefore delighted to be joining its board and am looking forward to working closely with the team as Goodlord continues to grow.”
Goodlord provides software and services for streamlining the residential lettings process. Backed by leading technology investors GFC, Finch Capital and LocalGlobe, it is growing rapidly and now claims to transact more residential lettings than anybody else in the UK.
Very shrewd recruit. Will offer them all sorts of invaluable insight

I’m sorry but I can’t be the only one who thinks “Heavens to Betsy!” every time I read the word Goodlord.
Just sayin’
