EweMove recruits 125th franchisee after redundancy from LSL

EweMove has welcomed its 125th franchisee. He is Damien Guest who has opened for business in Folkestone, Kent. He was previously valuations manager for Your Move, covering two offices in the area.

He is the first franchisee to take advantage of EweMove’s special offer for agents affected by redundancies at the LSL Your Move and Reeds Rains brands

The offer included an interest-free loan to help new recruits get their business up and running.

Guest said: “The costs of setting up totally from scratch were too much, as was the risk.

“So, when I saw the EweMove offer just a few days after being stunned to be told that I was being made redundant, I knew it was something to explore seriously.

“I’ve always been impressed by Ewe Move’s marketing and use of technology.

“I made the decision to sign up pretty quickly because all my questions had been answered. The interest free loan it was offering former LSL employees made the whole proposition too good to turn down.”

Guest becomes the 44th EweMove franchisee with specific experience in estate agency.

44th franchisee with experience yet apparently 125 franchisees

As a member of the public instructing ewemove you have a 2 in 3 chance your agent has zero estate agency experience.

Good luck to Damien, look at previous franchisees for ewemove the odds are stacked against him.

We’re delighted to have Damien on board.  He brings exactly the right attitude to the EweMove network.  Having developed our culture and service proposition with highly experienced customer service and sales professionals over the last 5 years or so, mainly from outside of the industry, we now have a model which suits both experienced and non-experienced agents.

But more importantly, our proposition best suits our Sellers and Landlords, Buyers and Tenants, delivering them the financial and service outcomes they have for a long time been wanting, from their agent, which is why we remain in No1 position on Trustpilot as the UK’s Most Trusted Agent.

However this year  many of the franchisees who haven’t  enjoyed similar  benefits have packed in with life changing individual losses.Their departures until recently disguised as a computer glitch on Ewemove’s website.

No amout of bleating about the successful frachisees like  Basingstoke who are doing very well outweighs this fact,Were they offered similar incentives? The departing have had a very bitter experience unlike the founders who have waltzed off pocketing millions of TPFG  money

Recent lost sheep Birmingham.Cardiff  Laindon Park.Salford.Streatham .Croydon Doncaster South Oxford East.Sheffield (ow Whitegates)Altrincham Barnsley Kidderminster,Chichester has migrated to Martins Seems to be no slowing down

Many  franchisees showing high levels of debt on their company accounts.A number with a handful of instructions which will not allow them to make any inroads

The Stevenage franchisee is still showing on site yet he has started his own lettings company The nearest local office to Birmingham is now Hinckley and those propertiesstill for sale in Birmingham are being handled by Ewemove Southgate in N London !!

The chatline is farmed out to a remote third party and as such can rarely answer any pertinent questions apart from offering to get someone to call you back A glorified answering service Same rules apply during normal  business hours

In January it was excitedly annouced on EYE

Nikki Smith has rebranded to EweMove in Gloucester and is transferring her 70-property managed portfolio.

She currently has 1 sales instruction and 1 letting instruction according to their website .What happened to her 70 strong portfolio?

Likewise  their largest acquisition   Sheffield has migrated to Whitegates

This may well be a thumbs up for EweMove (in their minds) but as both Your Move and Reeds Rains are pretty good at what they do as agents (operating systems etc) and known to the public and still couldn’t make it work, what makes these franchisees think they can? Serious question, as there is a reason why these branches were closed. Often it is not the brand that fails, it is the staff.

Ewemove franchisees often struggle and as other posters mention their closure rate is worryingly poor.

The 2 founders pulled the wool over the eyes of TPFG and mugged them for millions of pounds they’ll never get back. Other firms thought TPFG had gone mad when they bought ewemove for such a massively over inflated price.

Also ewemove desperately need but do not have top quality, highly experienced senior management. The future is one of decline for this brand.
