Cold night out for Fine & Country staff raises funds for homeless

Head office staff at Fine & Country raised £3,000 in aid of the homeless by taking part in Centrepoint’s Sleep Out event in Shoreditch, London.

A team of eight from Fine & Country’s Park Lane headquarters spent the night outside to raise money for young homeless people in the UK.

Emilie Despois, marketing manager at Fine & Country, said: “At 11pm the lights were turned off and everyone retreated to their sacks. It was really difficult to sleep with the cold, the hard ground and the noise of the city.

“It was a very humbling experience.”

The sleep-out was part of the Fine & Country Foundation’s work.

Mike Bidwell, Fine & Country’s head of sales, said: “The Foundation was set up last year with the aim of raising money and supporting charities to help tackle one of the UK’s biggest social issues – homelessness.

“Centrepoint is a brilliant charity for us to support. They give young homeless people a chance to change their lives for the better so the team were all very happy to give up their beds for a night for such a worthwhile cause.”
