Agents gather at Google HQ for ideas on how to maximise digital marketing

A number of estate agents from high profile firms, including Knight Frank, Hunters, Carter Jonas and Arun Estates, attended an event exploring low-cost, high-impact digital marketing strategies.

The event was put on at Google’s central London headquarters on Tuesday, jointly by live chat service Yomdel and digital marketing specialists the Fountain Partnership.

The programme included sessions from Yomdel founder Andy Soloman, Fountain’s head of digital Alice Rose, and Roxanne Brownlee from Google, who spoke on how to future proof a business in a changing landscape.

The event was exclusively invitation-only, and attendees, besides being able to visit the impressive Google HQ, went away with ideas on how to carve out competitive advantage and maximise return on investment through digital strategies.

Soloman said: “Yomdel and Fountain began working together on EweMove in 2014, and since then we have developed unique approaches to generating quality traffic and then turning that traffic into high-converting new business opportunities.

“It’s a complete no-brainer for any business – invest in getting the right clicks as well as ensuring you also put in place the ability to maximise conversion.”

Artifial intelligence, machine code learning, deep thought programming….no one yet has found a way of making these all work in cohesion with a new collaborative way of marketing, but maybe within a year or so!

Shame the average agent was not invited.

Can’t help but think it would have been more of a benefit to independent agents on a budget.

This was a very small event, and you are right that all agents could benefit from understanding more about how they can embrace digital to drive more business opportunities. The market is tough, but it is really important to ensure the ROI can be carefully measured on every marketing pound spent. If you know what works you can safely invest more knowing what the results are likely to be. We are considering arranging more events should people be interested.

Google getting involved in Estate Agency? Are they bigger than Rightmove?

RM, if Google get serious this could be the greatest example of biting the hand that feeds you! Continually rinsing the people who solely supply the fuel for your website will show very little loyalty in return if a cheaper alternative presents itself?

    Times are a changing…..

The stuff from Yomdell and Fountain was stronger than the much anticipated ‘baiter’ (Californian for beta) development shown by Google. I was there and came away  reassured just how far ahead of the curve we are.

What was really nice  for me was the warmth of greeting I received from customers I haven’t seen for years. I’m not a natural networker but had to be dragged away at the end of of the evening and then had a 4 hour drive back to Devon.
