Revies site allAgents has relaunched its property portal and says it is aiming to make it the third most popular within 12 months, overtaking OnTheMarket. It is also considering making it an agent-owned portal, as was originally the case with OTM.
The allAgents portal will include the ability for staff members to link their allAgents review profile to properties they are selling or letting. This is commonly seen on portals in America and Australia, although it has not yet been tried in the UK.
The site will also only accept listings from agents with three star reviews and above. allAgents has been involved in a long running dispute with Purplebricks, which currently holds a one star rating on the site.
allAgents’ Martin McKenzie said: “The integration of staff profiles to our listed properties will prove a game changer in the market, particularly with the growth of online and hybrid agents. The flotation of OnTheMarket shows there’s room for more players. We can see the enormous potential of our property listings portal.
“Other property portals will work with anyone, but we won’t accept agents with one and two star reviews. If they want to advertise on our portal, they need to up their game. As with our reviews, the customer always comes first.
“We believe there’s a real market for a property listings site with independent reviews integral to its offering.
“Vendors in particular want to know the agent they choose has a good reputation and is trusted by others. As the UK’s largest independent review website for the property industry, allAgents is perfectly placed to give both vendors and buyers an unbiased view of how their agent fares.
“The 60,000 consumers who post their reviews on allAgents each year know they can trust us. “

The portal will exclude anyone with a 1 or 2 star rating…….
I hope allagents spend a bit more money on their review checking department as otherwise it will only take a week of fake reviews to get a competitor taken off!!

Ah Allagents, that well respected, much admired, major review site; said No-one…..
But the daftest thing in this whole load of twaddle is that they will somehow convince agents to pay them to list their properties!

“Other property portals will work with anyone, but we won’t accept agents with one and two star reviews.”
So, the many with no stars can waste their time on allagents then!

We can’t get the whole industry to support an agency owned portal ! What chance have these guys got ?
We can already see how many £millions it takes to launch this sort of thing and were these guys not crowd funding for a legal defence ?
